Things I Need to Improve...Still.....

Fri Apr 24, 2009, 4:40 AM
I've still got a lot of improvement and one of the easiest ways to get started on improving them is to point out your own flaws, so here it goes.

1) Expressions...I still have difficulty with this, but I think it's in part because of my personal difficulty in expressing them. Samapuma is helping a lot in this regard.

2) Bewbs! As awesome as they are, I can't draw them for sh!t....

3) Hands. While I'm better than some, I'm not as good on these as I want to be. Need lots of work here.

4) Confidence. Put simply, a few comments I've gotten on my artwork have really shaken my confidence. While many support me, I still get the occasional jackass who says my art is crap, and when asked why, can't give a single reason other than it being anime. While this shouldn't bother me...it does.

I think that covers the immediate problems in my art I want to work on. What do you need to improve on in your artwork? Is my assessment accurate?

In other news, I had to format the harddrive for the computer I was typing up Burning Ambre on...so I lost everything aside from the one chapter I posted here. I've decided to do another story in the same setting, but with different cast. Ambre will be making an appearance in the story, though, at some point. I won't post it here unless someone voices wanting to see it, however, as no one read the first chapter of Burning Ambre...and if they did, they didn't comment on it....

Heya there. =D

So I see there's another convention coming up in late November. I see you're the art director there. Tell me, do you get better traffic there at the tables than Gen Con?

If so, I might consider getting a table if there's one available...^^

"It's like looking into a mirror. Except it's one of those funny house mirrors where everything is horribly distorted and...oh sweet Primus! Is that my chin?!"

We don't really know what kind of traffic we are going to have at the new con, because this will be it's first year. Any artists we can get, however, would hopefully be a good draw to the artist alley, there. The artist alley is situated in the main concourse, though, so there will, in theory, be a lot of traffic there.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to Anime Crossroads this year, I work on the weekends. *blargh* =P But I look forward to hearing how it goes. I hope you make lots of sales! X3

I'll keep you informed on how it goes and what's going on. Hope to see you next year, then.
